Second Style’s issue #13 Ad

Written on November 16th, 2007 by Chino

There are times that vanity is a good thing. This time, it’ll give me more people visiting my blog. Today, Second Style released their 13th issue and I bet Cynara will be happy because her avatar’s face is on the 3rd leaf. Well, my face is there too so I guess everyone will be happy. (Ok, I know I’m not making sense).

To make it short, I bought an ad space and here is how it looks.

Those Lovely Kimonos

I assume Artesia B is Japanese for almost everything in her blog is about Kimonos (well almost) and everything Japanese. It’s really nice to see another Asian (assuming she’s asian) doing good in Second Life through blogging. I am not really interested to Kimonos but my wife will definitely check Artesia B’s blog from time to time because of that.

Going back in time

When I first started my Second Life, I was a Victorian. Cynara and I always visit Caledon especially when buying Victorian Clothes. Also, Cynara works as a model for a Victorian Shop back then. Now this man, Dr. Rafael Fabre is one hell of a roleplayer and knows a lot through Steampunk era. Almost every post he have in his blog is about the period. (no off-topic posts at least) What impresses me most is his research skills (unless that is a fictional character) in terms of finding people who lived in the Victorian Period.

I also think that this interesting blog about Antiquity is from Dr. Rafael Fabre as well. So check them out.

One hell of a Machinima maker

I think I can still continue our machinima music video. Especially after seeing this blog of CodeBastard Redgrave. Her machinimas are great and most of the time featured in the SL Insider. She created a nice and user-friendly MachinimaCam to make your shooting a lot easier. So if you’re interested in making Machinimas just like I do, subscribe to her blog as well.

General SL Blog?

I really don’t know what’s the focus of this blog, Second Life Snippets. But they surely got my attention with this kind of Advertising (as they say) although I think of it as an attack. Another post that caught my attention is about SL’s Support. It feels good whenever people appreciate you with what you do. Why do I fell that way? I’ve been part of Level-Up games, an online game publisher here in our country, for 2 years and it’s a rare occasion that you’ll hear or read from someone that they appreciate what you’ve done. Moving on…

I didn’t know that!

This is not about that show from National Geographic Channel. It’s about a blogger’s community in SL. Yes! I’ve been encouraging people to blog about Second Life as a way for them to earn linden dollars and make money and finally, a blogger’s network for SL. Well, they don’t have their own domain yet and still hosted at Google Groups but most of all, I love it when people of the same interest will have a connection in some way. I didn’t even know that they meet. So kudos!

Detect avatars near you

Written on September 17th, 2007 by Chino

It may sound freaky and scary for those who want a private Second Life but it’s not scary at all. Well, if you don’t use it for spying. However, you can also use this tool I am going to write for detecting if someone’s spying on you. (or just near you)

Know who’s near you with the Mystitool

detect them all!

If you’re a paranoid individual like me because you know that anyone can just pan their camera and see what you’re doing inside your house (especially if you’re with a partner… LOL) then definitely you will need the Mystitool. As you can see in the picture above, it detects every avatar within my 96m radius. Yes, it’s radius so it is a maximum of 192m perimeter.

It’s also good when you are shopping with someone and you are waiting for the whole screen to rez. How, you know where your company is, if he/she is beside you already or somewhere else.

Also a flight assist, and those stuff you might need

Mystitool Menu

At a price of 350L$ linden dollars, this is the cheapest menu driven flight assist (enables you to fly faster or slower than normal and go beyond 200m above the sky), detection tool, and almost all those features you might need. Not to mention, it has voice commands. You can command the Mystitool through voice. Cool huh?

So if you want to get yourself your own mystitool here.

Lady in Red

Written on September 14th, 2007 by Chino

Last week, I presented Netrosanct Studios to you all through a sponsored review and knowing first hand how good they are, I thought getting some photo with their help might be a good idea. I am becoming lazy nowadays when it comes to Photography so I guess it’s a good thing to get professional help from this guys from Netrosanct.

Lady in Red is an Asian

Lady in Red is Cynara Cortes

I know Chris De Burgh didn’t make that song for Cynara Cortes, I just love the word play since she really is a Lady in Red in that photo.

I’ve never seen you looking so gorgeous as you did tonight
I’ve never seen you shine so bright you were amazing
I’ve never seen so many people want to be there by your side
And when you turned to me and smiled, It took my breath away
I have never had such a feeling
Such a feeling of complete and utter love, as I do tonight

~taken from the lyrics “Lady in Red” by Chris De Burgh

Netrosanct Studios did a great job! I love it and here’s another one from them…

Cynara in Petals

Don’t forget to pay them a visit if you want to avail of their Professional talent and skills. I really really think it’s worth it. They produce high quality images for almost any kind of photo you desire (glamour, fashion, etc…) Visit Netrosanct Studios here. (SLURL)

Intelligent Flight Assists as a fashion accessory

Written on August 31st, 2007 by Chino

A flight assist enables you to fly up in the sky more than 200m (Second Life’s default flying limit) up, can adjust your flying speed and most of all, enables you to peek on people who are having you-know-what on their Skybox Houses. (okay, don’t do that last part, it’s unethical and is a violation of SL’s community conduct)

But Flight Assists can be distracting and doesn’t really look good with what you wear most of the time. Well, those are the other flight assists. Aodhan’s Forge offers flight assists that doesn’t just get you up so high to the sky, but also gets you to have a unique and futuristic accessory that will definitely look good in almost every clothes you have on your inventory.

Fly high in style

Scarab MK-E2 Scarab MK-E2 small

According to Aodhan, The E2 (elegance model) is for those who make high fashion statements. Use it as a shoulder piece, a pendant, a brooch, a belt buckle, a saddle accessory, an armband, a wristband, a headpiece, even a HUD … you get creative. You get two pieces with the E2 package, one large and one small. If you choose to wear both, make sure to turn one off.

You also get free upgrades for the Scarab MK2 Intelligent Flight assist when you buy one. So there’s no need to buy another copy if ever Aodhan releases a new version.

Now according to me, they really look good. I already have 4 Flight Assists in my inventory but this one is definitely what I will wear most of the time. They are not distracting, they even compliment my clothes. Another good feature is that I can adjust the speed into how fast and slow I want it. Not just by choosing, fast or slow. What do I mean? It means that the Scarab MK2 Intelligent Flight Assist has an adjustable setting like setting the speed from 1 up to whatever number you want.

It also warns you if you are too fast already and is flying in an illegal avatar movement. This make sure that no one gets banned from flying too fast.

You can get the Scarab MK2 Intelligent Flight Assists here. (SLURL)

A beautiful lady who earns free lindens

Written on August 28th, 2007 by Chino

If there’s one person who would like to try the networks and the different ways on how to earn free lindens and make money in Second Life, that’s going to be my partner in both SL and RL, Cynara Cortes.

She’s the one who’s going to write something about her earnings but she’s currently busy on her businesses and the orphanage she manage (RL). Anyway, the very reason why she wanted to earn some linden dollars for herself is because she felt like she’s wasting all my money that I am willing to spend for her anyway. We remember buying a lot of stuff just to complete the outfit that you can see on the image below.

Cynara on a white ball gown

Isn’t she so beautiful? :)

With her busy real-life, she still managed to earn 4000L$ this week with the help of my free lindens list and some new way of earning free lindens that I am definitely going to include in that list soon! 4000L$ linden dollars is quite a lot for someone who is having a hard time to login to her SL account. Look at that! She’s so busy but she still managed to look fresh and beautiful! :D

I wanted to help her to earn more free lindens but she just said… “You already helped me, check out your own site.”
