If there’s something we all want to happen in this world, it is probably an emergence of a new way to earn free lindens. I love free stuff and included to that is free linden dollars. Good thing this new online service called MetaRL made the right choice and ordered a ReviewMe here at your favorite free lindens blog, Chino Yray Dot Com.
What is MetaRL?
Based on the product description they sent me:
The newly launched metaRL.com, a virtual world service that helps avatars/players of popular games such as IMVU.com, SecondLife.com, and Entropia.com gain virtual world currency at no cost to them. They just register, refer friends, play games, participate in contests, and more.
After registering and see what it looks like from the inside, I say MetaRL’s services is not really new but who wouldn’t want a new service that will give free lindens?
Getting Paid
According to their payment page, “once you have over 200 metaPoints in your account you can withdraw it into any virtual world we currently operate in. 200 metaPoints is very achievable and requires usually only completing 1 survey/task.”
MetaRL operates through metaPoints or mP. You’ll receive 10mP by registering alone. If you’ll check on the table below, 10mP is too little and will only convert to 2.5L$, for me, that’s a very very small amount. That small amount may be attractive to some SL residents but most likely, residents will just look for a higher pay than this.
Maybe they’ll raise it up after reading this review eh?
Ways of Getting Paid
Now this is our favorite part. You see, MetaRL offer various ways of getting paid free lindens. There’s the Free Offers, Games, Contests, Tasks and Referral (too bad for me since this is a paid review and I am not allowed to put any referral link on this post). The tasks gives a new way to earn linden dollars or mPs. Just do the given tasks and receive free mP. Some are too easy like the “edit your profile with one of MetaRL’s designs” and that’s an instant 80mP already.
But I guess you just have to see all of their offers to make more money on the metaverse of your choice.

Free lindens never hurt, I’ll try to make a self opinion of the service. That is, if I get some free time…
The more i learn about second life, the more amazed i am.
Ok so, after a couple of hours of wondering here and there, I registered, tried it and… well how to say it, you can’t answer surveys without having referals, and all the games are gambling ones. I don’t really understand what’s the purpose of the site, what they gain with it >_> or dunno.
Thats kind of a defeating review on the site…does that mean the gambling requires you to pay up some cash or are you just saying that the games build from whatever they give you to start with? I will have to check this out.

I think, this place can be useful to earn some good free lindens, but with Erewhon opinion, i’m a little bit confused now. I wasn’t still there, yet, but i’ll try to go there as soon as possible.

Joined MetaRL..I wish there was another way of earning Linden (besides you of course : ) without having to go through those annoying surveys.. basically I wouln’t mind completeing surveys if only they didn’t ask for information to win the free prizes. I guess people just need that sort of extra incentive

After you take surveys, will they be replaced with new ones? or is like once you finsh all of them you cant do them any more?
Yeah, I tried this but its really annoying with the surveys and whatnot, its not really that different then, lets say, Hippiepay!
I guess they aren’t as easy as first opinions has been to earn money. And after taking Chino’s advice on referrals, I have earned a ton more just for telling people to join up via my reccomendation.
has anyone really had any luck with this one? Other than the annoying surveys or asking your friends to sign up and do annoying surveys it doesn’t appear there is any real earning opportunity?

Ive been w/ metarl about a month. Ive made about
300L$. some of the surveys dont pay out. One survey,Takes about a half hour and dosent pay jack!
Other sign ups dont pay out either (dating service)~Beware~ some require credit cards and ss#s….
