Getting People to Read Your Blog
It’s no secret that my only means of earning lindens in Second Life is through the free lindens you can get in the virtual world. Because of that fact, I always wanted to share how I started from blogging free lindens in the free Wordpress.com to my very own Chino Yray Dot Com.

If you still doesn’t believe it, maybe you should try reading this tip. Once you realized that you are serious on making money in SL and at the same time in the First Life, then by all means, I presented you the idea! The only thing you’ll need now is to make some action. Blogging can’t wait!
Be evil, be sneaky and get more people to visit your blog
This is what I really want to write for this post actually. The first two paragraph should be able to introduce you to make money or earn free lindens in Second Life through blogging. With enough information in your mind, I guess I can tell you now some secret that I do which is not actually a secret. Be evil, be sneaky and see how many people will visit your blog.
How to become evil and sneaky?
Here’s the thing, when you see an opportunity… Grab it! A lot of SL bloggers did that especially the time that I was sick and can’t blog daily anymore. It’s an opportunity for them to take the lime light and they deserve it. You see, the search engines crawls blogs and websites more frequently if it’s regularly updated. Therefore, if they crawl your website or blog, that means it will increase the chance of your blog to have a spot on their SERP (Search Engine Result Page). If you did not took that opportunity in the past, then it’s your fault. Another way to become evil is, promote your site in any possible way you can. I do it through my Wicked Blog Contests and Top Commentator Contests.
What if you don’t have the money? Simple! Comment here in my blog or any blog related to Second Life and don’t forget to use your link to your blog when you do! Just don’t spam the posts since it will be filtered or remove. That’s how I did it back then. I visited a lot of SL related blogs and commented on their latest post. Yes… it is both sneaky and evil too.
One sneaky thing I did was to link to a Second Life blog post and get all the people reading it to click to my link. Here’s the exact link to that sneaky post of mine. Imagine, SL is down and a lot of people is reading SL’s blog. Get the idea? If not, you’re just wasting your time here since you probably did not read everything I wrote above or you’re not really interested in making money in Second Life. Remember that on the internet, a simple link to a post can get you huge traffic! and more traffic means more opportunity to make money or for this world, make linden dollars!

lol That’s very true! ^_^ Most people on the internet just assume people care about them or are going to want to read their blog/webpage but your blog is actually helpful so people actually do want to read it.. it’s funny how it’s usually the opposite : )
Aha! Very sneaky there. Considering I found out about your blog through a comment on another blogger’s post about the most helpful SL Free Linden guides available, this post makes a lot of sense to me. Being able to understand when people will be reading things and why is a really crucial skill when you want to promote a blog like this.

Chino’s blog has helped me in many ways, with good SL advices and with some money, too.
That’s why, i prefer to be here trying to helping him with my posts instead of to create my own blog. As i said before, i haven’t available time for it, unfortunately.
Haha, I just started to really get into SL and I found your blog by googleing “Make free L$” or something similar and i got linked here. I started reading and trying alot of your tips and very cool they work. Prehaps i need to get into the blogging scene more and earn even more each week. HAHA.
I found this blog by the very same reason. Looking for ways to earn lindens. But most of the groups, surveys and stuff for me don’t work because of my location
I know what you mean, im in Canada and they have like.. Nothing! I seriously think that the free linden companies should get more service!
I’m just curious, can you make money using the free blogs like Wordpress? Can you add advertisements on those free blogs or must you own your own website to put google Ads, advertisements, etc?

I’m not sure about the free wordpress service, you can add custom code to new widgets, so I suppose google adds are welcome. But maybe their ToS differ. Dunno, you won’t lose anything by trying.
Based on the WICKED BLOG contest that Chino holds here, I created my own blog on the GOOGLE free blogspot, and they have the widgets you are referring to. These little things have advertisements, that if clicked on by your readers, give a small dontation to you that can build slowly, but its something.
So short answer is yes, you bet you can make money on free blogs.
I have a personal blog, I post about SL sometimes. Is that enough? or the blog must be 100% SL in order to succeed on the tips you posted there. It would be a hassle to own 2 blogs.. I think
If you hope to make it big, you must have interesting contents and it helps to update ur blog everyday. But mostly importantly, u must gathered enough loyal reader
LOL! Teaching people how to be evil and sneaky; but i know what you mean about grabbing opportunity when it presents itself. You know what they say, opportunity does not knock twice!
Ofcourse it all depends on how much effort you want to put in to your blog. If noone wants to visit them. And one of the main reasons, i think, that alot of ppl come to this blog, is for the free money and the interesting where-to-get-money page

I disagree with LA. I do not visit this site for the free give aways. I enjoy what Chino is trying to do and his posts have a punch when he wants to give one. It makes for interesting reading.
Yah, I have to second that. There is a ton of information not just regarding how to make money easily, but on all the incredibly interesting things out there in SL. From interesting places, to fashion, to surveys for free cash, I have dug through it all, and have learned a ton as a result.

I began to visit this blog because the money, i need linden dollars to spend in SL. Now i just like to be here and post. I think that Chino has so much to teach us about SL stuff. I have learned many things about SL since i’m here.
So, no one really knows if you can make money using free blogs like Wordpress or blogspot or other ones?
I understand that owning your own website allows for more customization, but just curious about what free blogs would offer.

They offer about the same thing, but you will get slightly less stuff. Like less customization, restriction in what you can post, etc
I am fascinated with reading the past posts and learning more and more about SL with each page of your blog that I open. I started my own blog because of you and it has become therapeutic for me and I enjoy sharing my experiences.
I think I originally came across the blog via google, and was just searching for random SL information. Tips and tricks, etc. This blog has become easy to find on google, so you have done a good job of building its references.
This site does come up very highly in Google when you’re searching for information on making money in SL. The comment competition is a very clever means of getting people to come back.
I’ve been trying to make money online since October last year. I make an average of $60 per week from blogging. Hopefully I’ll be able to earn some money in SL too and help to increase my RL earnings.
Visiting other blogs and commenting on them is a great way to get visitors to your blogs. My SL blog is still only new so there’s not much to see yet, but hopefully these links will still be there in time to come when there is something worth reading on it.
