IBM paid First Opinions Panel members 1500L$ each for filling up their survey.
We all know that the huge company, IBM has a sim in Second Life. What we do not know is they are dead serious on their launch of their Virtual Business Center sim, where IBM employees will be able to interface with customers regarding business solutions, the purchasing of hardware or software, or perhaps to talk about the latest in business practices.
This August, IBM is currently the biggest customer for First Opinions Panel. A number of people received an email from Andy Evans (CEO of First Opinions Panel) that they were invited to fill up some survey for IBM’s Virtual Business Center. The survey pays 1500L$ and an additional 12,000L$ or 50$ USD when your form was chosen to be interviewed via phone call.
Today, all those who were invited for the First Opinions Panel, IBM survey can now get their payment through this pay kiosk that you see below.
Why there was no public announcement for the survey?
IBM wanted all those who will fill up the survey to go through a non-disclosure agreement wherein it simply tells us to shut up or they will file a lawsuit on us. I don’t know why was it kept as a secret during that period but all I know is, things like that happen everyday for big companies. FOP is also obliged not to publicly announce that IBM is their client. They want serious opinions and not just people who will randomly choose answers to get some free lindens.
What I am sure is, First Opinions Panel is a serious company and they give you free lindens for your valuable opinion.

That is seriously a lot of lindens. Too bad I am on FOP international
Wow, there’s really a survey company that pays in L$? I am amazed and awestruck. Now if only I could play SL on my Vista computer. Someday…but in the meantime I think I will bookmark First Opinions Panel so I have it handy when that day comes.

I didn’t receive any e-mails from FOP. Maybe it’s a selected group based on some criteria.
