Slam-X launching with lots of changes
Slam-X members will most likely know about this already but for those who are living in a cave or underwater, here’s the announcement:
Attention SlamX Members
Full Launch of Slam-X and THE EVENT in-world is approaching quickly.
Full Launch of Slam-X will occur at 46 minutes and 46.3 seconds after 10.00 am on Monday (SL Time) or PST.
The Following is the Key Points that All SlamX Members Should Be Aware of:
- Upon Full Launch most of the New Information, Content, and some new services and resources will be available.
- It will take approximately 6 to 10 days for us to properly plug in all features, resources, and content. However the majority of the New Structure will be available on the Launch Time.
- As many of you should know we have been running with a temporary forum as this conversion from pre-launch structure to Full Launch has been taking place. The content and location of the Temporary Forum will remain available for the first week, after that all conversation (Unless Members feel some of it needs to be relocated) will be moved to the History and Archive Sections.
- Approximately 70% to 80% of the Full Public Forum will be available on Full Launch. We will rely on the suggestions and input from HCS’s and other general Members to direct us, in how you would like the forum to be set up and formatted
- Upon Full Launch we imagine that Members will have many questions, Please post any and all questions that you do have. The more questions we can answer for everyone, the smoother this process will go, and the faster everyone can get up to speed.
Now that is progress on a very promising program. Also, I guess it’s clear now that they’re not really a bank (maybe because of the recent Linden Lab policy and I hope I could give more explanation to that one… maybe in another post). Anyway, at least it still means good money or free lindens.

Looks like it will be a huge opening, and they expect an onslaught of inquiries. Hope it goes smoothly if you are jumping in on it.
Watching the forums will probably be a good place for new people to check out for now.
You should check out their forum. They are paying member at least 100 credit for inquiries that does make it to their own going faqs. The offers lasts for a limited time only

But i still dont understand a thing from their website. Maybe im a bad searcher…but they really need to change their website.
It looks kinda too amateuristic. If i would see the site for the first time, i would click directly away. It looks too suspicious lol. Fortunately i already registered thanks to this blog. So i know its a valid site. Still…Would be nicer if they re-styled and maybe made it more proffesional.
But then again, thats my opinion :p

And until today, I don’t even know what is exactly their mode of business beside selling coins, renting mall space and charging people for non basic membership

Yeah I don’t get it either..although I take Chino’s word for it being a valid site I just don’t want to waste my valuable playing SL time with sorting through and trying to make sense of something that appears so difficult…no I don’t want it handed to me … a decent explanation or how to is all!
There’s not much in the way of explanation on how SlamX works, it looks like just another get rich quick site. And yeah Lawie it does look amateurish to me as well, but there’s only so much you can do with a forum if you want to use an detailed image as the main background instead of basic shapes and colors. The map idea was neat but it doesn’t really go with the action inducing SlamX title.
I was pretty confused with the Slam-x site at first as well, but now that the site is re-launching everything seems to be coming together better : ) Is all we have to do to be active post and reply to each other? I hope so because if that’s all there is too it I can hopefully earn some Linden from this place. I’m also glad we can introduce ourselves, I just happened to meet one of the admins in the SL Slam base. Now I can’t seem to get back to it, so I hope Slam-X posts the slurl back on their website : )
I liked to post in forum and i was avery active member in an old SLAM-X, now, i’m feeling a little confused with the presentation. I can’t find any kind of forum there.
I think i must live in a cave or underwater or something, dont know about this
you are not the only one in a cave, although I read Chino’s blog info about it and visited the site I was so unsure of it and what it really is about I didn’t sign up…I guess i just don’t get it.
SLAM-X is a good place to meet new people and share some opinions everything, in or out of SL. There you can earn money for each post that you do, but the system to convert that money in linden isn’t working yet.
I met some good people there, and now i talk with them in SL. Try it Kriti…
well i do live firmly under my rock and enjoy it, but i defiantly will check out slam-x
