They’re joining the advertising bandwagon

We all know by now that advertising is one of the best way to earn and make money or linden dollars. That’s how I make money here in my blog. Also, advertising the places where I earn free lindens is an obvious way of how I make big bucks without camping.

With this truth, Earn2Life announced earlier their plan to open a business directory. This will surely boost their revenues and probably raise their pay on the offers they provide. Yeah! It might probably mean higher payment per offer! You can also join Ear2Life and earn linden dollars even if SL is having a problem.

Here’s the complete announcement:

The new Business Directory will be opened on November 1st 2007.
The E2L Business Directory is the place where the owners can submit and promote their Second Life business for free.
It’s also the great opportunity for all SL residents who do not run their own business to find an interesting places to visit, and may be profitable program to take a part.
We are going to offer the business owners the promotional possibilities as well as the unique instruments to get a new visitors and clients for the shop or office.

The directory may be free of charge but still, this kind of strategy will always be a win-win move. Hey! I even make money from free lindens!

Thanks for the info on the business directory. That should make the site far more user friendly.

That is correct, IE for mac was discontinued some time ago…

Since Earn2Life work via a toolbar plugin, it will only work with browsers that their plugin supports. Hopefully they’re port it to Safari or Firefox.

From the mouth of Gates…
INTERNET EXPLORER FOR MAC NO LONGER AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD

In June 2003, the Microsoft Macintosh Business Unit announced that Internet Explorer for Mac would undergo no further development, and support would cease in 2005. In accordance with published support lifecycle policies, Microsoft ended support for Internet Explorer for Mac on December 31st, 2005, and is not providing any further security or performance updates.

Accordingly, as of January 31st, 2006, Internet Explorer for the Mac is no longer available for download from Microsoft. It is recommended that Macintosh users migrate to more recent web browsing technologies such as Apple’s Safari.

Huh, I wonder what prompted that decision. I mean, IE can be a pain as it is, and even many Windows users prefer FireFox. And I honestly wonder how it affected the market, if at all.

but it comes pre-intalled on every machine with windows, making it a logical choice for all the non-techy people who don’t even know you can have a different browser. :)

It doesn’t work with FireFox. It only works with IE, and causes it to crash often =P

Well, on my own FireFox browser, the first buisness directory link goes to a site called 4yourdreams.com, which is completely unrelated to Second Life. As for the actual business directory, I really do not have a business (a roleplay faction is a fantasy group within fantasy), and I am very tentative to join the Earn 2 Life program.

E2L does not pay out 100% of the time, but at least it does not require your credit card number or cell phone number (unlike the hippie crap which never pays out and requires those numbers). But you’re right in hesitating to join, it is ineffective and a waste of time.

Well, it obviously works for Chino, or he might not blog about it so much. Perhaps he knows how to press all the buttons just right or is ‘in the know’. :P Such is life, and so can Second Life be.

No Chino earned most of his profit from referrals I think. I’m not sure if the referral system in E2L is that effective as I’ve never bothered with it. If you have a vast connection in SL then it won’t hurt to rely on the referral system. I’m sure that at least it’s better than completing those offers.

That would make sense, considering the E2L pade mentions something about Chino when you first arrive there, and he blogs so often about it. Perhaps I will peak to give Chino more money, which could then go back to us. :P
