Valued opinions gets higher pay

The company that just recently paid 100$ or 25,000L$ linden dollars to their panelists/residents who gave desired responses just explained to me earlier why they don’t have a PDF now and created a longer but faster sign-up process.

Longer to fill up, faster to process

Signing-up to First Opinions Panel is now faster yet longer since you have to agree to the terms, give ample information about you and to make sure you read the instructions. (to avoid incomplete sign-ups) That way, they process the sign-ups faster since they’ll be sure that you’ve read the instructions along the way.

Serious response, higher pay

I asked Andy Evans, CEO of First Opinions Panel, why they made the sign-up process like this and here is the reply:

Andy Evans: Hi Chino, We understand but it is not really our decision. The issue is Fortune 500 companies will not work with panels that pay their people to sign up. Not one I have spoken with will do this. They want people whose priority is to give good feedback and have a voice with the top marketers in the world on product development. Those that want to just make Linden tend to give very poor responses. That is why most of our corporate clients are coming back to us for a second time, the quality of response is so good. In our last survey, the panelists who gave the desired responses were invited into SL for a focus group and paid one hundred dollars each! This is what you are helping build in SL, something of real value.

This is why First Opinions pays higher than before. Companies are happy with the serious feedback they get from the surveys conducted by FOP. That also mean that in the future surveys, expect more than 1000L$ per survey.

Sigh! I don’t have any luck with FOP.

But I am keeping a tab at another similiar research company. Their average payout rate is about L$250 and now there is an activity going on that pay all the participants a five digit sum of lindens. Will update and reveal the companies I get paid (Well, I have been paid thrice already but I think that the lastest payout will encite many ppl to join this panel)

No idea if a survey you answer is gonna have an actual impact on anything, but if you don’t put the effort into offering a good review or opinion, how can it? ;)

A review or opinion can never be bad or good. What matters is the end results
