Where did the 25$ come from?
Garry Linden replied to my support ticket and told me that I have an unpaid 25$ from June 17, 2007. I don’t even know how did that happen but anyway, at least they will reactivate my account to pay that 25$ that I don’t even know why I should pay them but heck… it’s just 25$. I’ll just convert some lindens (around 6,000L$) to pay for that one.
Here’s the reply:
Hello,
The charge from 06/17 of this year for $25.00 was rejected by your financial institution. In order to reactivate the account we will need you to contact them to approve the transaction. We can reactivate your account for you to resolve the outstanding balance.

More than just money
My avatar is more than just money but hey! I still love the money! It’s just that, there are lots of memories in there. Including photos, the shape Cynara Cortes made in which she dedicated hour and weeks or even months to improve it and our memories.

Where did it come from? Hmmmm. cartoon character, cartoon linden currency, cartoon homes, businesses, all in center city cyber space. Where did it come from? Likely a script error. ha ha.
That is a doosey of a script error, considering that goes beyond in-world dynamics to the web- and transaction-servers. I am still very curious if they could actually pinpoint what that charge was for. You never know- I could randomly be hit up, and I cannot so easily convert Linden to pay a fee that was LL’s mistake.
Oh I never knew you could pay the LL people with in-game Lindens lol. Or did you convert them into USD first?
