There’s one reality for a newbie when you begin your journey on that island where you learn to fly, walks with a torch, wear an armor for free, talk to a statue and eventually get freebies on the popular help island, that is… in the end you will need linden dollars - MONEY.

In fact, you will not be able to enjoy Second Life at all when you don’t have lindens. There may be freebies out there but with 50,000 to 100,000 new users every week, do you still want to get freebies when you know that there are thousands out there who will eventually look the same because of free stuff?

Eventually, you will know that there’s a way to earn free lindens called camping. I myself admits that camping is my very first source of linden dollars. 2L$ per 10 minutes was a good deal for me back then. After earning 12L$ which translates to 1 hour of camping, I began to look for stuff that I can buy with 12L$. However, it’s too late when I realized that I can only get 12 better items than freebie and those 12 stuff are the 1L$ freebies.

There are quality 1L$ freebie items out there. B@REROSE has them, enkythings and even the ever popular Last Call offers 1L$ quality items. I noticed one thing though. Almost every good and quality freebie out there are for women!

I’m DOOMED!

I did not give up and started to look for better offers than camping in the classifieds section. It’s the moment that I kissed camping goodbye. No more camping for me. I realized that it’s such a waste of time for me. So I started to look for “earn free lindens” instead. Voila! I found lots of them. From surveys to offers and jobs that pay 100L$ per hour. (yes there are ads there that put “earn free lindens” even if it’s not for real)

The first earn free linden I tried was the Hippiepay. It gave me 64L$ for accomplishing international offers that I’m qualified to do. Then the next earn free linden I tried was Earn2Life. Earn2Life made me realize that I can earn up to 1000L$ per day. Actually, after 2 hours of filling up those offers in Earn2Life, I received my very first 1000L$. I knew that that moment was the end of my newbiedom.

The next earn free linden I found was First Opinions Panel and my Second Life changed dramatically. FOP gives out L$500 to L$1000 linden dollars on every survey they offer monthly. But that’s just the front of it. They make you earn 100L$ for each individual you refer for First Opinions Panel and I kissed camping goodbye.

I realized that there’s more to free lindens out there than camping.
