WTF! WSE Traders Fund!
Over months of trading, losing money is inevitable from companies that did not make it into the main trading room or from companies that closed. I myself lost money already because of these reasons. However, World Stock Exchange is planning to return all money lost from investing to companies that did not make it.
World Stock Exchange’s good move
The World Stock Exchange Traders Fund (WTF) is a specially designed fund that holds shares in Hope Capital Ltd on behalf of all customers who have lost their investment in delisted companies up to the 19th October 2007. All WSE customers are stakeholders in the business. Management alone did not make the WSE what it is today and it is through the participation of our customers that the WSE has become what it is today and what it will become in the future.
For me it’s their best move up to date. Who wouldn’t want recovering their money? I lost it and accepted it as my risk. Now that parts of the money I lost will be returned, that’s cool!

Wow! A day old in stock exchange and then this. Oh well, I guess it happens.
It is still a happy day.
That is good for investor as u even have a chance to recover ur captial. In real life, u would be filing for bankruptancy instead.
But I think it is a technical and pr adjustment on the wse part cos we have encountered too much companies in trouble in the recent months due to the gambling ban. If they do not do something, no one will dare to trade again.

That’s not something a regular stock exchange would do… a compensation. Definitely good news and bad news at the same time.
I wished that the bank who had put a stunt and made me lose my 1,000 linden deposit would have done the same.

Come on, what is the real world value of the trading volume in this exchange? Even banks in sl are giving a typical 3% interest a month for the small amount but the interest u earned is peanuts in rl
Wow, this was surprising to read, and encouraging. I’ve starting learning about investment in SL, from land to the SL exchange and banks.
It’s pretty cool that investors got some money back.
